Leading Lights
Leading Lights are a group of children from Discovery run by Mrs Emma Howard and Rachel Curley, Benefice Ordinand. Their job is to spread the word of God throughout the school by leading Acts of Worship, making prayer and lots more to promote Christianity. Taking place during Music time, they discuss how to enhance the Christian Values used daily during school.
Recently, Leading Lights have performed a play about the significance of each advent candle, they have led an Act of Worship about the Nativity through the eyes of the animals, a stained glass window prayer station as well as an apple tree prayer station representing Adam and Eve in the Garden. In addition, they came up with the brilliant idea to create a Bible Stories book where each child would write their favourite story from the Bible and they would turn it into a beautiful book that could be bought by parents. Coming up, Leading Lights will be performing Daniel and the Lion’s Den in an Act of Worship.
Leading Lights wrote and performed an act of worship for Anti-Slavery Day. It focused on the story of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat.
